Thanksgiving Dinner

Some pictures from our delish and delightful Thanksgiving with the Bossy Arends women and their families (and their families). We spent the day in St. Helens at my Aunt Joan and Uncle Garett's farm. While the weather didn't let us get outside to see all the animals, it was enough of a zoo inside to keep all of us entertained (five dogs, fourteen humans). Max pretty much slept the afternoon away. Uncle Chuck says that next time he needs to do a better job entertaining the adults. I say, it is only a matter of time....

Jeremy made a green bean masterpiece with ginger and cashews. Max hung out in the moby wrap and also got some snuggles in with 'aunt' Lily and 'sister' Ginger.

Four Generations

Max got to meet his Great Grandma Marie during her trip to Oregon earlier this month. She was a natural with him and had all sorts of stories to share from when she raised her children. I think the "little" guy grew about five pounds during her two week trip....we could all see the difference.

Max and I flew past the six week mile marker with flying colors. He's growing like a weed, and I am healing enough to get back to "real" workouts and a heart rate higher than 140. New Year's Day Triathlon, here I come. How many days do I have to get ready?

Tomorrow is Max's two month check up, and I promise to post his official weight when we get home. Rumors are that it might be north of 14 lbs!

Happy Halloween

It would be a stretch to say that Max enjoyed his first Halloween. Although the cutest Pea Pod we have ever seen, the outfit does not exactly stack up with Max's favorite things, it's hot, covers his face, and he can't find his hands anywhere! We did get the compulsory photos though and even had one trick or treater come to the house...

Here's a link to some more pics....

Out and About

Coming to an end of my 2 weeks off with the family. Everyday we have tried to get out and do something, whether a trip to the store, off to see friends, or a hike like this at the Audobon Society we have gotten used to having the little guy in a car seat, nursing and changing on the go, and cool ways to carry him like the Moby Wrap pictured here. It's been amazing to have this time with them and as much as I look forward to seeing everyone at the club, I already know it's going to be very hard being away from Lee and Max all day.
